July 2015 – Michael Davie birds of prey displays post.

Two updates in successive months – I am going for the record.

With the very warm weather we have been getting up earlier mainly to walk the dog before it gets too hot and then save her second walk at the back end of the day. I enjoy my walks and find it a great way to wind down.

Enough of my dogwalking routine! but I woke early today and my old harris hawk ‘Red’ came to mind and I thought I would post a picture of hime flying at the National Caravaning Event at Cornbury Park in May.

He is a real old soldier at 25 and he isĀ one of my original birds – well the first harris I bought. He has been such a great hawk over the years particularly for corporate or small group work where his interactive skills – flying to people – is such an asset. Thornbury Castle Hotel is like a second home to him – he knows the grounds so well that he is at his very best there.

Anyway here he is flying at Cornbury Park.
