Its looks like we may be at Stoner Park at the end of the month to take part in their Jousting event – so that is some welcome news. We are all in the event industry hoping that if we can get through winter re: Covid then next season may happen. Bookings however may well come in late as event organiser are likely to ‘wait and see’ and then act accordingly.

Anyway in the meantime we have an event to plan for! thankfully with a small team of birds flying through the summer months will allow us to do it – although it will nerve wracking like an actor returning to the stage after a long absence.

As I have mentioned in recent blogs this year was to be a transition year for Michael Davie Falconry Displays with some birds retiring and other young birds joining our team to build for the years ahead. This has been difficult without events for young birds to go to at an impressionable age – which has made our job more difficult. We will hopefully take ‘Troy’ our young Peregrine/Lanner to Stoner to at least sit out on static to get used to the setup – this will be invaluable. We shall be doing everything at home to get him ready for this. His flying is coming along very nicely – we are very happy with him. I end this news blog with a picture of him yesterday after been flown – notice his full crop – he likes his food. That is the Peregrine in him!
