Falconry Displays

We are in another lockdown for 4 weeks. Thankfully like last time we continue to fly the birds of prey – keeping them fit and manned – in preparation for an upcoming Christmas event(s) which may or may not happen. Anyhow we have got ‘Pete’ the Kestrel flying. We put him down to moult in late summer when it became clear that he would not be needed for any late summer events. He has now moulted through and is back flying. He is such a wonderful flyer and has a huge personality –  a feisty little bird with more character than birds ten times his size! I will sign off with a picture of him down at the flying field having just caught the lure a day or so ago . He is looking up at a passing Buzzard.
