Falconry Displays

We are experiencing very hot weather at the moment – it is beginning to feel like 1976! for those of us who can remember.

I continue to fly the birds and our new falcon ‘Troy’ is doing well and is a little calmer on the pickup up from the lure, hooding up and so on. He is also tamer now and I can on most occasions pick him up without fuss from his block. It needs constant positive reinforcement and a solid routine to keep the bird going in the right direction. There will challenging bumps in the road in the process of finally getting him to an event and confidently putting in the air in an arena. It is difficult during lockdown with no events to get to this level in his first season. Hopefully we can finish the process next year. Anyway here he is.
